Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon'ble Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge), Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India inaugurated the new showroom of Central Cottage Industries Emporium at Handloom Marketing Complex, Janpath, New Delhi on 9th October, 2014. Dr. S. K. Panda, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India was the guest of honour.

Smt. Anjali Rai, Chairperson CCIC of India Ltd inaugurated the monsoon collection of sarees exhibition titled ‘Monsoon Magic’ on 11th July, 2014 in the presence of Shri Pramod Nagpal, Managing Director, CCIC of India Ltd. The collection encompasses finest range of handwoven sarees like Chanderi, Maheshwari, Kota, Bengal Cotton, Tie & Dye, Lehriya, Printed Cottons, Andhra /Orissa Ikat, Kalamkari, Kantha, Bagh/Bagru block prints in shades of monsoon. The show will be on till 20th July, 2014.

Zohra Chatterji, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles,Govt. of India inaugurated the Craft Heritage Exhibition on 10th June'14 at Central Cottage Industries Emporium,Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi. Also present were Smt. Monika S. Garg, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt of India, Shri S.S. Gupta, IAS, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Smt Anjali Rai, Chairperson, CCIC and Shri Pramod Nagpal, MD, CCIC. The Exhibition showcases finest range of Handcrafted Furniture, Cabinets, Boxes & Pitaras, Traditional Paintings from Rajasthan, coordinated Homelinen, Blue Pottery from Jaipur & Stone Pottery from Khurja, Fine bronze artefacts and statues. There was also craft demonstrations by National Awardee and Master Craftpersons. The event will go on till 20th June'14"

Smt. Sindhushree Khullar, IAS, Secretary, Planning Commission,inaugurated the “Furniture & Home Accessories Exhibition cum Sale” on 14th February, 2014 at CCIC showroom, JVB, Janpath, New Delhi. The exhibition showcases newly designed contemporary furniture in teak wood, mahogany and sheesham, teakwood furniture with silver patra work, Handcrafted furniture from Rajasthan and coordinated homelinen & pottery to beautify homes and interiors.The exhibition will be on till 28th Feb, 2014. CCIC has also set up “Cottage Craft Gallery” in New Delhi showroom for display of high end handcrafted furniture and artefacts cabinets, boxes, wooden painted screens, wooden doors, inlaid marble table tops, other utility crafts and traditional Indian paintings especially made by Mastercraftpersons & National Awardees."

Smt. Zohra Chatterji, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India inaugurated “Saree Exhibition” on 28th January, 2014 at 04:00 p.m. at CCIC showroom at Janpath, New Delhi. In an endeavour to celebrate and promote the Indian handlooms CCIC has organized a special exhibition cum sale of handwoven sarees from 27thJanuary to 2nd February, 2014 in CCIC's JVB showroom, New Delhi. A exhibition showcases a rich collection of fusion sarees like Kota Tissue saree with real zari, Designer Ikat silk saree, Fusion of Phulkari on tussar, Kalamkari on tussar with embroidery, Bhagalpur/Muga silk with Benaras, Katan Benaras, Old shawl borders on Crepe, Benaras Georgette with Gujarat tie & dye. The exhibition also showcases Traditional Pathani, Patan Patola, Andhra Patola, Rajkot Patola, Benarasi Shwetambari, Ashawali Brocade from Gujarat with coordinated Jewellery and Handbags.
